Uplifters is a community-led organisation. Our mission is to enable migrant domestic workers to achieve successful migration outcomes by combining free online education with peer-led community support. We run a growing catalogue of courses — from money management and small business skills to women's health and leadership — delivered on platforms learners already use, with no app or subscription required. Alumni contribute their time to co-design, deliver and support every course, creating a sustainable, ever-growing support network. Since our founding in Hong Kong in 2018, we have reached more than 11,000 migrant domestic workers across Hong Kong, Singapore and beyond. Among long-term community members, the share saving regularly each month rose from 42% to 75%, emergency savings coverage from 61% to 86%, and wellbeing from 76% to 93%.
