Our journey began in 2001, campaigning against the illegal wildlife trade and the exploitation of animals in captivity. Since then, we’ve driven key environmental and legislative shifts that have propelled Singapore forward in the animal protection movement. Through collaborative efforts with government agencies, communities, and individuals, we strive to nurture a compassionate and responsible society, one where animals are treated with respect in every home, school, and neighbourhood
ACRES’ mission is promoting animal welfare and advocating for the rights of all animals. While wildlife protection focuses on safeguarding species and habitats for long-term survival, animal welfare is about how individual animals are treated—regardless of their protection status. We believe every animal, from the most endangered to the most commonly found, deserves to live free from cruelty and exploitation.
